Maris Saagpakk introduced 19th-century leisure literature translated into Estonian. The sentimental tales of suffering and the robber adventures translated from German played an important role in the development of Estonians’ habit of reading for pleasure. The title of the presentation was: „Fromme Frauen, Räuber und Robinsonaden. Wellen der übersetzten Trivialliteratur aus dem Deutschen ins Estnische im 19. Jahrhundert.“
