At the conference “Jenseits der Deiche. Konflikte der Abgrenzung” Maris Saagpakk presented her research on 19th century fictional translations into Estonian. The presentation gave an overview of the general translation trends into Estonian in the second half of the 19th century, and discussed examples of translatory works by Estonian translators in that period. The conference was organized by the Gesellschaft of Internationale Germanistik, which aims to bring together scholars of German Studies interested in intercultural and transcultural matters.
