Maris Saagpakk and Marianne Laura Saar’s article „Widerspiegelung der Mehrsprachigkeit des historischen Baltikums in den ‚Briefen eines baltischen Idealisten an seine Mutter‘ von Georg Julius von Schultz und ihre Übermittlung in der Übersetzung ins Estnische“ is a quantitative study of heteroglossic voices in the letters of Baltic German doctor, philologist and writer Georg Julius von Schultz-Bertram. The article shows what happens to multilingualism in translation and discusses the reasons of numerous alterations compared to the original. The article is published in a new magazine „Schnittstelle Germanistik“ which facilitates research conducted in the German Study departments of the East- and Middle-European universities.
