Maris Saagpakk presented the history of Estonian translation in the Baltic Literatures panel at a conference held in Braunschweig, Germany. Her presentation, titled “Übersetzung als Identitätsprojekt. Diskussionen zu Übersetzungen aus dem Deutschen im 19. Jahrhundert”, explored the background of translation into Estonian and the motivations of various translators.
